House Fire - Lost Parents, Pet, Everything
Donation protected
We are raising funds to help the Emmitt family with burial costs / expenses and rebuilding life after everything, including their parents, a beloved pet, home, and all possessions were lost in a tragic house fire.
On the night of December 17, 2022, Jerry and Ida Emmitt, along with their daughter, Melissa, and their son, Phillip, as well as Phillip’s beloved house dog, an Aussie, named Luna, went to bed, as normal. While asleep, the family’s house caught fire. Melissa and Phillip were able to escape. Realizing his parents remained inside, Phillip made noble and heroic efforts, reentering the home for his parents. Despite valiant efforts, neither their mother (Ida) father (Jerry) nor Phillip’s beloved furry companion (Luna) were able to escape.
There is nothing to cover the loss they are experiencing. The children (Phillip, Melissa, Betsy, and John) have lost their parents, pet, home, and possessions. We obviously cannot fill the void this loss has created in their lives during this holiday season. What we can do, however, is show them love and support as we rally behind them as their community supporting and rooting for them. We can help lighten the burden of burial costs/expenses and help them to get on their feet, to rebuild their lives, as best possible.
Funeral arrangements are pending, updates will be provided.
