HOUSE FIRE: SHOCKING, DEVASTATING, TRAUMATIC

On 6/5/2023, our good friend and colleague awoke to her house in flames. Sacha Wentzell, nurse, single mother of two, fell victim to this traumatic event. After opening the door to her son’s smoke filled bedroom, she and her two children were able to safely escape the fire. A complete stranger driving by, saw the fire, stopped his car, grabbed a garden hose and sprayed until the firemen arrived. A true display of compassion and community. The beloved friend lost everything, except the most important things, her family and pets.
