House fire - youth advocate Candace Tubbs

Donation protected
Candace Tubbs house caught on fire in Evanston on Sunday night.
For decades, Candace has been an amazing advocate for our youth, ending gun violence and supporting returning citizens.

I have known Candace for more than 20 years. Sadly, three years ago she developed breast cancer and has been fighting ever since. Her home is severely damaged and she has nowhere to go. She is sleeping in her car. We are trying to fundraise to pay for a hotel for now and to fix up her house. Due to her breast cancer, she has no home insurance.
