House Fire--Please help Barber family
Donation protected
On January 10, 2024, the Barber family watched as their house burnt down before them. Luckily, no one was hurt or injured in the accident, but nothing in the house where they raised their sons, shared countless holiday meals with their extended family, or spent hours building was recoverable. They were forced to leave their beloved property with only the clothing on their backs. This will displace them for an unknown amount of time, as well as their eldest son and his family.
Rachel and Kevin are longtime Camas residents who are very active in their community. Rachel has been a nurse for over 20 years serving Clark County residents, and Kevin is a contractor who now services off-road vehicles. They raised their two sons, Scottie and Gage, in this area and were active in their children’s sports and the motorcross communities. Rachel and Kevin have hosted clothing and school supply drives for families in need for several years. They regularly volunteer at Refuel Friday (a local meal program), and they have organized Mayhem at the Mountain (a UTV race series).
Rachel and Kevin are not the type of people who would seek help, but they are always the ones who will be there to help others. We are hoping that using this fundraiser, we can provide a little support she would give to us. Although their memories shared in their house cannot be replaced, we are trying to help them get back on their feet. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
