As we enter the Christmas season, historic events in a city called Bethlehem fill your heart and mine. Though many associates the city with the spirit of the holidays, residents of Bethlehem have experienced trauma for millennia
. The Malkan Initiative is responding to this by providing job training and food assistance, breaking the cycle of poverty.
This Initiative has a business model and trained staff and is now preparing the next phase- building a permanent bakery in Bethlehem to give those experiencing poverty, and trauma immediate assistance and long-term job skills.
Your gift today will support a project rooted in loving our neighbors, no matter how far they may be, as ourselves.
