SCHOOL TRANSFORMATION-A House System

Our students are passionate, talented, and full of love. Despite personal and external challenges, they come to school ready to learn and eager to please. At our title I school, we have a variety of students, from developmentally delayed to academically talented and gifted, including several on the Autism spectrum. Our students continually inspire us as they overcome the negative forces they must face daily to shine and achieve success. They deserve the upmost structure and stability our school can provide as we push them to the highest academic and behavioral standards.
In order to do this, we want to ABSOLUTELY transform the culture of our school and the surrounding community this year by using a "HOUSE SYSTEM". This system has been implemented in other elementary schools and has proven to promote character, academic success, school spirit, a family atmosphere, and a culture of excellence.
If you are unfamiliar with the house system, think of Harry Potter. Just like the fictional students are sorted into different houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff, our students will be randomly sorted into houses: Amistad, Rêveur, Isibini and Altruismo. This creates a sense of belonging for our students as each student’s personal accomplishments are then rewarded with points that collectively count toward his/her House.
This house system will be used to uplift and inspire all students, but in order to completely transform our school, we need your help! If you can help us do something that has NOT been done before in our community, every little bit counts for these kids!
100% of what we get from the gofundme will go towards the following:
Custom house flags to fly around campus- two flags per house- $79.99 x 4= $316.00
Wall Decals (custom made by house)- (4 for each house x 4 locations)- $70.00 x 16= $1,120
Lanyards- 300 for each house- bulk order= $542.00
Wrist bands- 300 for each house- bulk order= $448.53
