Justice for the House of Netherworld
Donation protected
January 14, 2021, the beloved House of Netherworld, and it’s entire legacy, was set aflame. A fire that was set by an outsider, a person that needs to be named. They attempted to destroy the estate of an absolutely incomparable man, Joe Netherworld. All his life’s work, his home ie: his "greatest work of art", and all the magnificent, irreplaceable artifacts of his world. But they did not succeed. Joe Netherworld's legacy will still live on. In many hearts, minds, and memory.
There is no recompense, no replacing the magnitude of what was lost in this vicious hate crime.
.
Today we seek justice.
Justice for the legacy of Joe Netherworld; a true renaissance man, an artist above measure, a treasure to the community of Poughkeepsie. The man who defined “The Witchcraft District”, and made his 1880’s Victorian mansion, the original “Halloween House”, that was the pinnacle of the Victorian historic district in Poughkeepsie. A home that was his “greatest work of art”, and was graciously shared with his family, friends, loved ones, and kindred spirits alike.
Justice for Matthew Camp and Six Carter, who were honouring the legacy of The House of Netherworld, and bringing it into its next evolution after Joe’s passing in 2020. Matthew Camp exalted and embraced Joe’s mission and premise of encompassing all, and cherished all the values Joe was so passionate about.
Justice needs to be served. For the arrest and conviction of the cowardly shadow who set fire to a legacy, attempted murder on two innocent beings honouring Joe's legacy, and attempted to destroy a legacy not worth a fraction of their being.
In the early dawn of January 14th ,2021, an arsonist made an attempt on the life of Matthew Camp and Six Carter by igniting two containers of gasoline on the front porch of their home, the Victorian mansion commonly know as the “House of Netherworld”. Fortunately Matthew and Six were able to escape, as the house was completely engulfed in smoke and flames.
Devastatingly, the magnificent "House of Netherworld" was completely destroyed by the fire. This historic 1880’s mansion was a cherished and most magical domain; created and curated by the Maestro himself Joe Netherworld, "The Official Witch King of Poughkeepsie". Joe's home was his “greatest work of art” and a greater gift that he chose to share with fellow spirits, friends and family.
The intent of this fundraiser is to create a reward and to accomplish what the local authorities have been unable or unwilling to do a year later. It is our goal, as a community, to find who was responsible for this hate crime and devastating loss by offering $6,666.13 for the arrest and conviction of the person or (persons) responsible for such a heinous crime against humanity, legacy and art.
Let no stone be unturned. We will find those responsible.
