Houses4Horses Hurricane Dorian Horse Relief Fund

My name is Bess Darrow. I am a large animal veterinarian and equine dentist in North Central Florida. 
My organization, “Houses4Horses, Inc.” (On Facebook Houses4Horses), a registered Florida non-profit 501 (c)(3), is raising funds to aid the horses and livestock in the Bahamas affected by the recent catastrophic Hurricane Dorian. My practice has serviced the horses and farm animals on Grand Bahama Island for the past 10 years. To say the damage is devastating is an understatement. Most animals have lost their barns, shelters and food supplies. Many have also lost their lives.  Your contributions will assist us in providing feed, hay, medical supplies and care for these animals. We will also send in teams of people to aid in rebuilding shelters and fencing to contain the animals.  The three main equestrian facilities on Grand Bahama Island are beloved local landmarks that provide everything from horseback eco tours to horse boarding, riding lessons, a large petting zoo, organic produce gardens and educational field trips for students from all over the island. These farms have suffered extensive damage and they will need to start back at square one. Many of you may remember our presence and assistance during Hurricane Michael last year in the Florida Panhandle (Hurricane Michael Horse Relief Fund on Go Fund Me) . We will not let our Bahamian friends and their animals down. Please help us in any way you can.
