Ukrainian Center of WA housewarming campaign

This fall, we celebrate the grand opening of the Ukrainian Culture Center Toloka! This momentous occasion marks the establishment of the first-ever physical space in the Greater Seattle Area that will bring together numerous non-profit projects dedicated to promoting Ukrainian culture, preserving traditions, and supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

We kindly request your support for our Housewarming campaign this summer. With your generous contributions, we will prepare a warm and inviting community center located at 2050 112th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004.

While we have the financial means to cover rent and expenses, our heartfelt endeavor to launch the center is stunted by a lack of funds for essential furniture (chairs, tables, book cabinets) and equipment (printer, Wi-Fi). We are currently organizing a fundraiser, seeking compassionate support to bring our vision to life and create a transformative space that can make a profound difference.

Our coalition comprises a diverse range of organizations, some with a rich history spanning many years, while others were formed in response to the challenges of war. Despite our different backgrounds, we share a common vision and goals. Now, we are thrilled to announce the realization of our long-awaited dream—a dedicated center that will serve as a home for all friends of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Culture Center Toloka will host a variety of exciting initiatives, including the Ukrainian school Vyriy, the renowned drama studio Legit, the non-profit organization Volia Fund, the community-driven non-profit Nashi Immigrants Health Board, the talented traditional Ukrainian ensemble HraiMore, non-profit Through the War, as well as local musicians, traditional artists, with the support from the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Seattle. Additionally, the center will offer a welcoming space for various activities, master classes, and events that showcase Ukrainian culture, fostering a vibrant community and extending an open invitation to all curious about our rich heritage.

Together, we can create a thriving hub that celebrates Ukrainian culture, strengthens the local Ukrainian community, and welcomes everyone to join us on this remarkable journey.
