Housing and Car for Unhoused Mother of four kids

Hi, my name is Sarah and this fundraiser is for the mother of my child's best friend. She has four children between the ages of 7-14 and recently lost both her car and her housing. Three of her children are temporarily staying with their dad and the youngest child is staying with her at a motel. She says this is more stressful and harder and more expensive than she thought it would be.

I have been working with her to make calls, fill out applications and find help for her. Its been discouraging as there are long waiting lists, many waiting lists that are closed altogether and unanswered phone calls.

The needs right now are high in our community and the supports are stretched at their limit. I have known this mother for many years and she is an amazing mom who works and is doing everything she can and has barely been getting by. Now she isn't getting by and needs help.

My goal is to give her a substantial gift that would get her into an appartment with her kids as well as purchase a vehicle that works and is stable.

I have been helping out financially but the need is greater than I can support alone. Anything you have to offer would be so appreciated.
