Housing in Phoenix for Byron
Donation protected
Hi everyone, we are Cloe’ and Faith Bolanos. As many may know, our dad Byron was an incredibly hardworking respiratory therapist at Ochsner LSU Health. He worked tirelessly throughout the first year of the pandemic and unfortunately contracted Covid himself in late January of this year. His health quickly declined and he had to be placed on a ventilator and eventually ECMO. He was taken care of by his own coworkers for four months as his lungs continued to deteriorate and it was eventually decided by his wonderful team of doctors that his best chance at survival would be a lung transplant. On June 22nd, he was flown to St. Joseph’s hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. After a few weeks of testing, on July 10th by the grace of God, he received new lungs. Our dad has continued to fight hard following his lung transplant and he is now completely off of all support and in inpatient rehab in Phoenix. He will be discharged in a couple of weeks and will need to find housing in Phoenix as he will have to continue outpatient rehab there for the coming months. Housing in Phoenix is very expensive so we ask if you feel led to, to donate towards his housing costs. We know he appreciates your support and if you are unable to support financially, please just continue to pray for his continued healing as we know he wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for your prayers. Thank you very much!
