HOUSING & ROOF REPAIR FROM FLOODING IN BANGLADESH

All donations of this fundraiser will go towards repairing the housing conditions and roofing for various poor families in Bangladesh whom have been affected by the recent floods. We hope Allāh will provide for them through your donations in shā Allāh.

The flood situation in Moulvibazar has deteriorated significantly, affecting 37 unions and municipal areas across seven upazilas in the district.

As a result, 212 villages in Barlekha, Juri, Rajnagar, Kulaura, Kamalganj, and Srimangal upazilas have been inundated, leaving around 250,000 people stranded and facing severe food shortages.

At least 13 people in Bangladesh have been killed and 4.5 million affected by floods triggered by heavy rains, the disaster management and relief ministry said Friday.

Md Javed Iqbal, executive engineer of the Moulvibazar BWDB, said: "The water level is rising dangerously. Water from the rivers is overflowing the embankments and entering residential areas. Even after placing geo-bags, we are unable to control the situation.”
