I know Stewart, I can and will vouch for him. He is a Scouter, and an all around good guy. He WILL do what he says he will do with this $$. He himself will need help soon but is currently focused on others less fortunate at the moment. I'm safe in New Hampshire but am doing what I can from here for him and those he can help.
Thanks

This is his story...
Many of you know me personally and have asked how we are doing.
I'm fortunate - my family, my home, and my neighbors weathered the storm pretty well compared to most.
We have friends that were on rescue boats, we have friends that have been rescued. I have co-workers in shelters, and employees still stuck in their homes. Everybody in Houston has been impacted somehow. Our area has opened 8 up shelters that I am aware of- some holding well over 320 people and their pets.
The last couple of days, we have spent our time driving from shelter to shelter, going grocery store to grocery store, and then begging our friends, family , and neighbors to search their closets and pantries for anything that would help the victims of this catastrophe.
But , long after the water has gone down, the media's attention has moved on, the heroes have gone home , and the Houston Strong and Pray for Texas hashtags and memes have lost their novelty, what's left will be people. People that have lost everything. Their jobs, their homes, their personal possesions.
If you trust me, know that I will get your money and donations directly to the people that need it most in my area.
Otherwise I can direct you to local organizations that can help locally.
Thanks for your kindness
