How A Lifetime Musician Became A Stroke
Donation protected
My long career as a piano player, saxophonist, guitarist, songwriter and composer has been abruptly sidelined by a sudden life-threatening medical setback I never imagined could happen to me.
Here are details regarding my situation.
On May 4th, I suffered a severe blockage in one of the carotid arteries in my neck - the ones that supply blood to the brain. I was rushed by ambulance to a hospital in Seville, Spain, where doctors removed the obstruction and applied a stent during a forty-five-minute surgery.
While the highly skilled doctors may have saved my life, unfortunately, I cannot use my right hand.
Creating music has been my life's work. Sadly, I've had to cancel all of my concerts and recording sessions. At the same time, I undergo a regimen of intense rehabilitation to regain the fine right-hand motor skills that have given me a remarkable career.
As you can imagine, I need financial help. I was nearly finished recording my latest studio recording before my stroke, but we can begin releasing some selected tracks of excellent music worthy of my previous work.
Best wishes from the bottom of my heart.
