How Many Wigs Can We Raise?

Anyone who has lost their hair during chemotherapy knows what an emotional experience it can be. Some women embrace it and show the world who they now are. Unfortunately, that sometimes makes them the target of often well-meaning but just as often thoughtless remarks and questions about their health.
Other women want to maintain the way they’ve always looked during this health crisis.
Good wigs made of natural hair are expensive, but they can give someone a sense of normalcy during a time when their health and life is anything but normal. Help us help women who can’t afford something that can give them comfort and reassurance during a very difficult time in their lives.
An average wig like this is about $700 each. How many women can we help?

Komen is uniquely structured to fund four pillars - research, care, community, and action. These focus areas work to find a cure, support those living with breast cancer, and advocate for equitable access for all. Since its founding in 1982, Komen has funded more than $1.1 billion in research and provided more than $2.3 billion in funding to screening, diagnostics, education, treatment, and psychosocial support programs.
