Howard High School Baseball Program Fund Raiser

Donation protected
Dear Parents, Former Players, and Friends of the Howard High School (HHS) Baseball Program:

We hope that you and your families are doing well during this challenging time. COVID-19 has impacted all of our lives in many ways. As many of you are aware, the HCPSS 2020 Spring baseball season and Fall Ball were cancelled due to the pandemic. We are hopeful that the 2021 Spring baseball season will proceed, though likely on a limited schedule and without playoffs. The players have waited patiently for the opportunity to play again, but along the way, said goodbye to two wonderful coaches, Head Varsity Coach Nick Hoffner and JV Coach Johnny Jackson. They eagerly await the opportunity to welcome and work with their new Head Varsity Coach, Jason Grebe, and his staff and to defend their 2019 Howard County Championship Title!

The players have made many wonderful memories on their home field. And while the field is in good shape, the HHS Home Dugout, Batting Cage, Announcers/Press Box and Storage Unit have deteriorated some in the last year and could use a makeover. Rotting wood along the Home Dugout roof, façade, frame and helmet rack as well as the Announcers/Press Box and Storage Unit doors, dirt and debris accumulation in both Dugouts, chipped paint on all structures, and worn out Batting Cage turf are among the areas of improvement. Bottom line: the facilities are not befitting of the caliber of the players/coaches who represent Howard.

In an effort to honor our past and current players--especially the 2020 Seniors (who comprised the majority of the 2018 State Championship Team and missed out on their last year of high school ball) and the 2021 Seniors (who helped deliver a 2019 County Championship but missed out on their Junior year of baseball)--we are asking all of you to kindly join us in this fund raiser to help “make over” the HHS Baseball Home Dugout, Batting Cage and other facilities.  We want to show our current players love and support during this time, and what better way to do this than to provide them and their new coaches with improved facilities. We hope that this project will be a lasting legacy for the HHS Baseball Program that players and coaches will enjoy for years to come. We greatly appreciate your support and no donation is too small. Please check out our Wish List below. Please feel free to share this information with your family/friends or on social media. Any money raised that is not spent on these projects will be donated to an underserved baseball program in Baltimore as well as to the HHS Baseball Program for future use.

With love and sincere gratitude,
Amanda Fader & Carrie Dawes (representing HHS Baseball Families)
