Howard Whitted, 72, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2023 in his home. Born in Hope Mills, North Carolina on February 11, 1951, Howard made the decision at a young age to move to New York City where he eventually met his wife, Karen Lawrence. Together they decided to settle down in New Hampshire where they began a family.
Howard was a true jack of all trades and a master of many. He was a skilled handyman who could take apart a car and put it back together with ease. He loved to work with his hands and was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Howard was known for his friendly and approachable nature and had a special gift for making friends wherever he went, often being stopped in grocery stores just to say hello.
Howard was famous for throwing his annual Fourth of July Pig Roasts, always turning into overnight parties. He loved to bring people together and create memories that would last a lifetime. Friends and family would travel from far and wide to attend these festive celebrations, which always included delicious food, great music, and plenty of laughter.
Along with his wife, Karen, Howard is survived by his daughters, Shaunte Whitted and Natasha Whitted both of Manchester; grandchildren, Tyrell Whitted, Tavon Whitted, Amelia Payton, and Eysha Lee Joseph, Howard’s namesake; siblings, Willie Whitted, Louise Freeman, Glenda Burden, and Jerry Whitted; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Howard is welcomed into Heaven by his son Howard Dunlap Jr, and siblings, Melissa Beatrice Whitted, Sime Whitted, Earl Whitted, Alexander Whitted, and Beulah-Mae Ricks.
