Howard's Cancer Fight
Donation protected
In July 2018 my husband Howard was showing signs something was very wrong. We went to Urgent Care, who sent us to Emergency for tests. He was admitted to the hospital because the found a blockage in the liver duct. They performed surgery to open the duct, which resulted in Pancreatitis and a 10 day hospital stay. Then came the doctor visits, and more tests. One group said he should have surgery. When we met with the only surgeon who specializes in this kind of surgery, he said he would not do it. A good friend stepped in and got Howard seen at City of Hope in October. They were amazing, but the news was not good. He has stage 4 liver cancer. Because he is in such good health, they felt he would be a good candidate for the new immune-therapy. But that was not to be. He is now being treated at Optum Cancer Center in Henderson. So far he is doing very well on the treatment. They tell us, he will live as long as his body continues to accept the treatments. It has been taxing both mentally and financially. We've sold every thing we can. We have exhausted our savings, and now need to reach out to the community for help.
