Howard’s Fight Against Buccal Mucosa Carcinoma
Donation protected
It is my honor to introduce all of you to my wonderful uncle, Howard. Have you ever known someone so selfless that they would sacrifice themselves for anyone in need? I have and I get to call him Uncle Bucko! I’m doing this for him and his family as they take on his battle with Buccal Mucosa Carcinoma. May 26, 2023 was the day his life changed forever. After many months of doctor visits, watching a lump in his cheek grow quicker than anyone expect, and coping with debilitating headaches, a visit to Shands Hospital in Gainesville revealed everyone’s worst fear…CANCER! The following appointment laid out Howard’s life for the foreseeable future…surgeries, ICU, tracheotomy, feeding tube, therapies, and eventually several weeks of radiation. All of which would take down the strongest of men. But I know my uncle and with the support of his wife Tammie, children Howard, Austin, and Amanda, and his entire family and all our friends he will fight this with every ounce of fortitude and prove #inghamstrong Here’s where you come in. To know Howard is to know he’s a modest man. As the sole owner and therapist of his own company, Premier Pulmonary Services , he’s had to make the difficult decision to hire someone to take care of all the patients he cares for everyday. This is leaving him and his wife with a new burden of no income and no insurance at a time when they should be focused on his treatment and not on how they’ll afford it all. Your donation (no matter how small or how big) would help Howard and Tammie with: • surgery and hospital costs • lab fees • CT and MRI costs • speech and other therapies after the surgery • medication costs • travel expenses from trips to receive treatment in Gainesville (4 hours round-trip) • hotel stays to allow Tammie to be close by to visit during Howard’s month-long hospital stay starting June 29th • 7 weeks of radiation after surgery As Howard’s support team, we are doing everything possible to keep him focused on FIGHTING and WINNING his battle with this rare and aggressive form of cancer. Your prayers and donations of any amount will be truly appreciated by Howard and his family. We thank you in advance for your support of any kind, and truly hope to report back with good news as we all stay #inghamstrong
