Over the summer I went to Costa Rica to create a documentary on the Howler Monkey, electrocution problem. I visited and worked with a woman named Vicki Coan to try to allow people to understand what is happening and to help them to realize that they CAN help and make a difference. Vicki Coan owns SIBU Wildlife Sanctuary and has been working to save and bring the monkeys back to the rainforest, their home.
There are many ways that people can help being locals or living across the world. If you are a local you can try to keep your electrical cords underground rather than in the canopy. People around the world can donate to help Vicki and her workers get the surgical tools and machines that they need. By donating you will be helping SIBU with the ability for new, needed equipment to save Howler Monkey's lives from anesthesia to ultrasounds. You will be helping the community of Howler Monkeys that need YOU!! It is time we listen to their cry for help and donate!!
