Fund HOWL: A Short Film on Public Safety
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Katie! I am the writer and director of the short film, HOWL, a story following a girl who finds herself wrestling with her intuition and fears while commuting alone on the subway.
My team and I have been working on obtaining the resources we need to take this project from words on a paper to reality. We are just a few steps away from our goals of filming by February 2025, but we need your help!
OUR GOAL:
Our goal for this film is to spread awareness of the dangers that often times go unseen. Whether it's on the street or in public transit. From cat-calling and sexual harassment, to things as serious as kidnapping and human trafficking. It is our mission to help spread awareness and tell the stories of countless people who have been victims of assault.
HOW IS YOUR DONATION CONTRIBUTING?
Your donations will help fund the costs in many facets of production:
- Hiring Actors under SAG- AFTRA contract agreement
- Hiring location manager and other crew members
- Set design and wardrobe costs
- Prop design
- Location fees/permits
- Camera equipment
- Lighting equipment
- Craft services
- Transportation costs
- Film festival submissions
BENEFITS OF GIVING:
No matter how big or small, EVERY donation is crucial and so deeply appreciated. Even a couple of dollars could mean the difference between meeting or falling short of our financial goals for this project!
We have different options for levels of involvement-
Patrons that donate...
- $50 or over, will receive an exclusive invite to a private watch party before the public release of the film.
- $100 or over, will receive a free printed poster before the public release and invite to the private watch party.
- $300 or over, to the project fund, will receive honorable mentions in the final product credits of the film, a printed poster, and 2 free tickets to the private watch party.
My team and I are so grateful for your support, and we know that this would not be possible without each and every one of you. Your support and contribution to this short film means more than we can put into words, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us share this message with the world.
Sincerely,
Katie Marie Eaker and the HOWL team
