HOY CHUCHO NOS NECESITA!

Con profunda tristeza, pero también con mucha fe y esperanza, queremos pedirles su apoyo para nuestro querido Jesús Navarro, conocido cariñosamente como “Chucho”.

Además de un esposo amoroso y un padre ejemplar, Jesús ha sido siempre un hombre de grandes convicciones profesionales, morales y éticas, que muchos de ustedes recuerdan por su inmensa dedicación a su querido Club Puerto Azul del cual fue presidente del año 2001 al 2006.

Lamentablemente, su salud experimentó un duro revés que lo dejó imposibilitado de valerse por sí mismo y es por ello que necesitamos tu ayuda para cubrir su costosa rehabilitación y los cuidados personales que necesita 24 horas al día.

En noviembre del 2023, Jesús sufrió un primer accidente cerebrovascular, en nuestro club Puerto Azul, del cual se estaba recuperando satisfactoriamente, cuando a mediados de febrero del 2024, sufrió otros dos nuevos derrames cerebrales, esta vez con graves secuelas.

Actualmente padece hemiparesia, una fuerte debilidad muscular que mantiene casi paralizada toda la parte derecha de su cuerpo. Su musculatura de la parte izquierda también se ha visto afectada en consecuencia. Asimismo, su visión del ojo derecho es prácticamente nula.

Presenta también afasia, un trastorno del lenguaje que le impide leer, hablar y escribir, lo cual es sumamente frustrante y complicado tanto para él, como para su entorno familiar y para quienes están a su cuidado.

Adicionalmente, tiene un déficit de movimiento de los músculos de la boca que no le permite masticar y por ende su dieta se ve restringida a alimentos líquidos o semi sólidos, por lo que ha perdido mucho peso y masa corporal.

La situación es compleja y ha significado todo un desafío emocional y financiero que hasta ahora su familia ha afrontado pero que supera con creces sus posibilidades y por eso hemos creado esta campaña.

Jesús puede mejorar lentamente y recuperar poco a poco su independencia con un tratamiento de rehabilitación que ya ha comenzado, el cual incluye continuas sesiones de fisioterapia, terapia del lenguaje y terapia ocupacional. El está lúcido y consciente de su estado actual y está poniendo todo lo que está de su parte para recuperarse lo más pronto posible.

Tu donación, no importa cuán pequeña sea, marcará una diferencia significativa en la vida de Chucho y ayudará a cubrir las extensas facturas médicas, costos de rehabilitación y el equipo necesario para ayudar a su cuidado y recuperación.

Support Jesus Navarro (Chucho) in his recovery!

With deep sadness, but also with a lot of faith and hope, we want to ask for your support for our beloved Jesús Navarro, affectionately known as “Chucho”.

In addition to being a loving husband and an exemplary father, Jesús has always been a man of great professional, moral and ethical convictions, which many of you remember for his immense dedication to his beloved Puerto Azul Club of which he was president from 2001 to 2006.

Unfortunately, his health experienced a severe setback that left him unable to take care of himself and that is why we need your help to cover his expensive rehabilitation and the personal care he needs 24 hours a day.

In November 2023, Jesús suffered a first stroke from which he was recovering satisfactorily, when in mid-February 2024, he suffered two more new strokes, this time with serious consequences.

He currently suffers from hemiparesis, a severe muscle weakness that keeps the entire right side of his body almost paralyzed. His muscles on the left side have also been affected accordingly. Likewise, his vision in his right eye is practically zero.

He also has aphasia, a language disorder that prevents him from reading, speaking, and writing, which is extremely frustrating and complicated for him, his family, and those in his care.

Additionally, he has lost a lot of weight and body mass because he cannot chew due to the lack of movement of the muscles in his mouth and therefore his diet is restricted to liquid or semi-solid foods.

As you can see, the situation is complex and it has meant an emotional and financial challenge that his family has faced until now, but it far exceeds their possibilities and that is why we have created this campaign.

Jesús can slowly improve and gradually regain his independence with rehabilitation treatment that has already begun, which includes continuous sessions of physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. He is lucid and aware of his current state and is doing everything he can to recover as soon as possible.
