Hoya Battalion Alumni Association Starter Fund

The Hoya Battalion Alumni Association is just getting started, and we need your help with some of the administrative fees involved in setting up our organization. 

After many years of sporadic communication through email, linkedin pages, and facebook groups, a small group of us have decided to take the next step and form a 501c3 non-profit organization. The Hoya Battalion Alumni Association is now in the process of becoming a legal entity! We hope this group will allow us to better support one another and the battalion moving forward.

With this new organization we aim to:
- Create a platform for more effective communication/networking (a website is already under construction)
- Support Alumni and reserve component commissionees with hosted networking events throughout the country
- Support current Cadets (Alumni attendance at battalion events, mentorship, rewarding top performers, etc)
- Help to ensure continuity, uphold tradition, and carry on the lineage of the Hoya Battalion by joining the ranks of dozens of ROTC alumni groups operating throughout the country.

With a non-profit, we'll be able fundraise to support all of these goals! But, we need your help with the startup costs. We'll need to pay some lawyers and accountants to get this thing off the ground properly. Your donation will be used for some of the following: 

Tax ID/EIN filing
501c3 filing
Web hosting fees
Banking fees
Startup administrative costs
etc, etc. 

All donations will be recorded for future filing and tax credit! We appreciate any help that you are willing to give and will keep everyone posted with updates as soon as we have news!
