Help for Hudson

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We (Monica and Jeff) adopted Hudson from a rescue on Tuesday, September 12th.

We fell in love with him on the car ride home, and we were so excited to have another dog join our other fur babies. We lost our Golden Retriever Chip just 5 months ago from a twisted spleen. It meant a lot to us to have another dog.

We had him for a couple of days before we noticed him throwing up and refusing to eat. We started on Friday September 15th taking him to our Vet, and his tests for parasites and Parvo came back negative. He still wouldn't eat, and continued to vomit so we took him to an emergency facility here in Jacksonville.

He's been there since Saturday September 16th. As heartbreaking as it is, he's been there longer than we've had him at home.

They have been giving him transfusions as he had an Upper GI bleed and are now going to go forward with surgery to try and find the cause of his intestinal issues.

We need help as the costs for this are quickly going far beyond what we could have anticipated and we are not sure what more it might take to bring him home to us.
