Greg Marshall's Son's Funeral

Many of you know Greg Marshall, a well-known and well-loved Voice in Northern Michigan Radio.  What you may not know is that Greg is the father of Mark, a disabled 28-year old with massive physical deformities both with his outer body and internally, as well as severe mental retardation, and epilepsy.  Tragedy struck this morning when a fatal seizure struck Mark. 

Greg and his wife Bonnie are still reeling from this loss.  This was posted this morning on Greg's Facebook Wall:

"Hello,

I just don't know the right words on how to say this so I guess I'll just do the best I can. My youngest son Mark died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep last night. For those who don't know Mark had massive physical deformities both with his outer body and internally, as well as severe mental retardation, and epilepsy. The medical personal determined he had a seizure leading to death by natural causes. Mark had a great love for The Lord and I know that he is with him now, totally healed in body and with a full mind, but in my heart I already miss him so bad my heart feels like it has totally shattered. I can say without a doubt I have never ever hurt like this in my life. I don't know how to handle this, but I know God does. One comfort I have now is knowing that Mark is free of the suffering he has known on Earth, and is so happy right now he wouldn't come back if he could. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Greg has always shown his walk with Christ in how he lived.  The love, grace, charity, humility, and patience of Christ is evident in him.  Greg has helped countless people in the community out over the years and given a voice to everyone who wanted in the area.

 

Now it is our turn to help and support Greg in his time of need.  Greg's family desperately needs help covering the unexpected expense of Mark's passing has created.   May our charity, love, prayers, and comfort bring Honor and Glory to God.
