My One Wish
Donation protected
There are 4 wonderful members of my family. There's the man in charge, my incredibly strong and endlessly loving father;Joe. He has been sober for 8 years and is the glue that holds us together. Next, is my mother-Cathy,my best friend and the most giving, selfless person I know. She has sacrificed herself for me and my sister since the day we entered her life. Last but not least is my younger sister-Briana. She is wise beyond her years and is incredible with animals and a fabulous writer...this girl is going places. This past year we have gone through one of the worst struggles a family could face... my younger sister, Briana, attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. Luckily she told someone and got treatment immediately and lived. In that moment my world was turned upside down. The only other person on this Earth who shares my DNA could've been taken from me.I have not been the same person since, I got behind on school work and my anxiety and depression peaked. Until one day I got an email from the Study Abroad Office at my school. Immediately I could feel something shift in me...this is what I needed, a change of scenery, a fresh and new place to explore. I found that London would be a wonderful fit for my Psychology Degree and the school is absolutely breath taking. My parents were ecstatic for me knowing that this would be a life changing choice for me and it couldn't have come at a better time. The one thing that is breaking my heart is knowing I wont be around my family for a whole semester. We could not possibly afford for them to visit me. With all the medical bills from my sister and my parents missing work to be with her and take her to her appointments, it would take a miracle for that to happen... I need your help to make this wish of mine possible! I The money donated is going towards my parent's flight to London and see me for my 20th birthday and be able to tour my school and take a break from reality. This would mean the world to them and to me!
