Help for Harris family

On August 21, 2022, Tyshan (“Ty”) Harris, son of Cornise Harris, was shot four times in the act of random gun violence by an unknown shooter. He was at the Mississippi Regional Park in Minneapolis celebrating with friends as one of them was preparing for their transition to college. He was unexpectedly shot in the back, stomach, chest, and right knee. Currently, Tyshan’s knee is shattered - barely enough for repair - and a significant portion of his left kidney was destroyed. Ty has been extremely resilient through this tragedy, and God has been with him every step of the way.

So far, Ty has undergone two intensive surgeries to repair his diaphragm, intestines, stomach, and colon. He has had his entire spleen removed, the partial removal of his pancreas, and a bullet removed from his right knee. It is anticipated that Ty will undergo additional surgeries as well as a long, arduous recovery process to heal from the physical and emotional toll of the shooting

For those who don’t know Ty – he is 15 years old; loves music, sports, and hanging with friends and family - especially his niece and nephews. He is a fantastic uncle who is not afraid to change diapers, make bottles...you name it! His family absolutely adores him. He recently landed his first job at McDonald’s, where he was excited to cash his first check. He even secured a second job at Chucky Cheese. Ty has been a go-getter since he was young and is loved by so many. Everyone agrees that he is a loving and caring soul to all who meet him.
