Water Woes

Hi, we're Karen and Raymond and we currently don't have running water.

We've not had running water since the night of March 26th. A plumber came out today, the 29th, to figure out the problem and they believe there is a leak somewhere in the pipe leading from the well to the house. Our well is in the woods and to fix this mystery leak the most efficient means is to lay down new pipes. This will involve the use of heavy machinery to first clear a path in our woods, then a second machine to dig a trench going from the well itself all the way back to the house. We've been given a rough estimate of $3000 for the work.

The problem is we're on a fixed income and have neither the savings nor the credit to fund this work ourselves. Raymond has Multiple Sclerosis and Karen has severe anxiety and a bad back. Our only option is to ask friends and strangers to lend us a hand so we can once again have running water. You never want a shower more than when it is denied to you.
