Help me and my family

Hello,

I am Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Al-Qarman. I live in Palestine, in Gaza City, specifically in the Tel Al-Hawa area. I am studying Civil Engineering at the University of Palestine, and I am currently in my fifth and final year. My sister, Saja, is in her third year studying Dentistry at Al-Azhar University, while my other sister, Bisan, is a first-year student in English Commerce. We also have three younger siblings: Abdullah, Sama, and Ayman, who are still in school.

Since October 7th, our lives have changed dramatically. On the sixth day of the war, we left our home in Tel Al-Hawa and moved to the southern part of Wadi Gaza, seeking safety in a friend’s house in the Al-Zawayda area. However, the war did not spare us; as the shelling and destruction intensified, we were forced to move again, this time to the city of Rafah, hoping to find a safe haven.

During these challenging days, we faced tremendous difficulties in moving around and obtaining food, and we lost loved ones among our relatives and friends. Our hearts ached as we watched our dreams vanish. We had to sell all our belongings and gather whatever savings we had left to arrange for an exit from the Gaza Strip to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

We arrived in Egypt a month after our migration, hoping to find a decent life, but we were shocked by unexpected neglect. We did not receive temporary residence, and we faced difficulties in finding jobs or obtaining visas to travel abroad. The high costs have made education out of reach. All these hardships have made life seem meaningless.

With more than 320 days passing since the beginning of the war, our savings have run out, and we no longer have a source of income. We are in dire need of your help to buy food, continue our university education, and live a decent life. We kindly ask for your support during these difficult times so we can return to the hope and life we once dreamed of.
