Dig Deep For Kev’s Londonmarathon HRVAB fundraiser
Hi, my name is Kevin. I'm 60 years old and live in Hastings. I only started running six years ago when I was struggling with anxiety. At first I couldn't even run to the end of my street, never mind 26.1 miles...
But the last few years have been amazing. I've made so many new friends and met wonderful people on my running adventure –really helping my self-esteem
In November 2021 I ran my first ever marathon and six months later achieved the qualifying time for London by running Milton Keynes in three hours 30 minutes. Did I mention I was 60?!
I feel now is the time to give something in return – to the Hastings & Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind (HRVAB) charity, to be precise. I've been involved with HRVAB in recent years attending many of their fundraising events. It's touched me to see the wonderful work they do for the visually impaired and if I can help raise some money for this great cause, then it would mean the World to me. They receive no outside support and their vans are in need of repair to transport the community to the Taplin Centre.
All donations are greatly appreciated and allow HRVAB to continue their amazing work, helping those with visual impairments to maintain their independence, something which we all value so much.
Thank you for reading, now please make your donation, simply and securely, at GoFundMe.com.
