Road to Nationals

We would like to bring your attention to a story about the Los Alamitos Drama Department, which is in dire need of help in raising funds our GOFUNDME account. The department/school is hoping to send 24 students to the National Thespian Festival hosted by the Educational Theatre Association at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN this coming June.
14 of the students received a score/ranking of Superior at the State Festival recently held in Upland. This includes a One Act play entitled #VIRAL, which won California State Chapter Select and will be the only piece representing CA a the festival. The play is about a bullying incident in high school which ends up on social media and the effects it had on the students.
In addition, 10 students will be auditioning and/or interviewing for over 50 colleges while attending the festival.
Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, they are unable to cover the expenses for the trip. The cost for our students and chaperones to attend the festival is $50,000. This includes the $1K per student for their room and board at the University, the festival fee to register each student, plus round trip airfare for each student to travel to Indiana and transportation from the airport to the University and back.
So far we have had local Los Angeles media, ABC7 and KTTV's Good Day L.A. cover the story but we also need help spreading the word about getting these high school students to Indiana.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
The Los Alamitos Drama Dept Board Member
