Jody Cantor was a healthy wife and mother of two beautiful daughters when she suffered cardiac arrest at the age of 46 on June 30, 2013. We lost Jody on June 22, 2015- nearly two years of suffering.
When Jody survived cardiac arrest, she was in a coma for 5 weeks. When she awoke her life had changed forever. Jody could not see, move independently, received all her nourishment from a feeding tube, had memory issues, was not able to walk or be independent at all. Due to a breathing tube her jaw was permanently locked open. This effected her ability to speak and communicate. Jody needed round the clock care which was lovingly admistered by her husband, Dr. Randy Baker. In addition to taking care of Jody, Randy has been both a mother and a father to their two beautiful daughters, Rumi, who is now 15, and Naia, who is 11. Taking care of Jody took the better part of Randy's day and his medical practice and earning power were effected.
Jody believed in education. She home-schooled Rumi and Naia along with leading other homeschool programs. Rumi and Naia went to public school for the first time this past year.
In Jody's blessed memory, we are asking for donations to start a college fund for Rumi and Naia. Your donations will help provide higher education for the girls.
