Help Lisa Beat Breast Cancer

In April our dear sister and friend, Lisa Adelsberger, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Lisa is a preschool teacher and a single mother who, after losing her beloved husband Ciaran in 2009, has always worked 2-3 jobs in order to care for herself and her daughter.

Lisa will undergo a double mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Thankfully, Lisa does have health insurance that she will maintain while she is out of work, but the combination of co-pays, premiums, medications, and the loss of her additional jobs will present some serious financial challenges.

Lisa is always quick to offer help, love, and support to those in need. She tirelessly attended to our late father during the last years of his life and helped to care for our late mother and sister during their battles with ovarian cancer. Those of you who have visited the Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center may have seen Lisa’s photographic portraits of cancer survivors. 

We humbly ask for your support in helping us with this fundraiser. Funds raised through this effort, will go directly to cover Lisa's medical costs and will help supplement her living expenses.
