Emergency Moving Fund for Trans Women

Hi! My name is Riley. My girlfriend Clementine and I are being forced to move earlier than expected. We were told in our initial conversations with management that we could renew our current lease on a month to month basis after the original 12 month lease had expired, so we planned to do this for a month or two and save up for a move.  But then we were told 75 days before lease expiration that our rent for the new terms was going to be hiked 80% from $2700 to over $4800.  Even if we renewed for another full year (which we really don't want to do because this place and the management are awful) the rent would be hiked up an enormous amount, which they attribute to the "local markets being down" due to COVID.  Naturally, this is a predatory scam-which means we have to move within 75 days.  And in the Boston area, moving usually requires 4 months worth of rent up front (first, last, deposit and broker's fee). So if we want a place that's $3000/month, we need $12000 UP FRONT to even sign the lease. Naturally this is nearly impossible for both of us to raise in less than 3 months and we are running out of time and options to make something happen. Any amount would help us towards finding a solution for our housing problem and we would be eternally grateful!!!!
