HSX Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
I'm Antibody, the individual who has single-handedly ran the HSX game for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, I was let go as a full-time employee in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As many of you know, the HSX Future Community Board brought me back in June as a volunteer. Through their efforts and the generous donations of the HSX community, I have been able to maintain the site we all love and enjoy.
Now as we say goodbye to 2020, we embark on a new year 2021 with optimism. There may be a potential long-term solution for HSX on the horizon, but my role in that future remains unclear. The powers that be are currently funding for the technical upkeep of HSX, but unfortunately not for the on-going content management.
So in lieu of conducting a second round of fundraising, the HSX Future Community Board has asked me to set up a tip jar. It's a bit awkward and uncomfortable asking for help. I know this is a difficult time for everyone, so please don't feel obligated to make a donation. However, if you feel that I have added value to HSX and your enjoyment of the game over the years, especially during the last seven months, then would you kindly make a contribution to the tip jar. Your gift would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all. I could not be here without your support.
Happy New Year!
