Vacation turns into tragedy

Yevette is a young at heart 54 yr old mother of 4 boys and a dog. She is also a grandmother to 4 grandchildren. She married Dwayne in December 2020 where she picked up 2 daughters, 2 more grandchildren and has another on the way in the next 2 weeks. She has a love of travel, her dog and her family.

She was diagnosed with multiple-myeloma in 2015 and has been through a grueling battle with a stem cell transplant, two trial Car-T cell transplants and then another Car-T in June 2023.

All signs were good that this one was doing what it was supposed to do. So off she went to New England with a friend on a bucket-list trip. Then tragedy struck and she had to be hospitalized 3,000 miles from home only 3 days into her 3 week trip.

After almost 3 weeks of Dr's treatment and 2 medical transfers she is at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH

Dwayne has had to uproot his life in Oregon to travel to NH to be with her. Soon they will be without any income stream at all as Dwayne will need to take a leave of absence from his job. The bills at home will still be there plus all of the additional expenses of being away from home.

The Dr's are doing all they can and have said that if she pulls through best case scenario it will be months before she would be strong enough to make the trip home. There is a lot of damage to her lungs.

With just the basic expenses of home and NH they are estimating between $20k & $30k. If she doesn't pull through it could possibly cost another $10k for after life needs and transportation. But we honestly have no idea so we are setting a goal of $50k.

Dwayne wants you to know that it is only because this is happening so far away from home that the family is in such need and has promised that any of the money collected not needed for bills incurred from this event will be paid forward to another in need or donated to the organizations that have already provided help.
