FT MYERS BEACH RECOVERY TRIP

Our two personal properties are unsalvagable and deemed a total loss. We have accepted that as truth and knew that was a risk we would be taking, with the complete understanding that we could not get flood insurance on mobile homes within miles of the Ocean. The mission now becomes about serving the community (what's left of it). It wouldn't matter if you found it in your heart to donate a dollar. It all adds up! This is to help fund our trip to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. I rarely ask for support as I like to get things done independently. As I get older, I realize it takes a village and community. My wife and I are volunteering our time to drive down and help others in need as well as the others that will be joining us on our journey. We also have people stationed in Florida waiting for us to arrive who will assist us in our efforts. This is simply for our gas, food, truck rental, and essentials, knowing there is no water or electricity in the area. Any funds not used (Most know how frugal I am) will be poured into the community, and the donations have been given thus far. Thank every one of you for your generosity, and we are looking forward to sharing our experiences while down there with you, the people as we go. Give anonymously if you decide to do so. Honestly, I don't want to know who you are. This is bigger than all of us and is not our glory. We leave Wednesday... Let's see how close we can come to hitting our goal between now and then.
