Oakwood junior high #RallyForRefugees

https://www.unocha.org/ukraine/about-uhf Did you know that 1.5 million children and their families are fleeing Ukraine because of the war, and they are now refugees! My Oakwood Junior High school students are reading REFUGEE by Alan Gratz which is about 3 different refugees from Germany during the Holocaust, from Cuba in 1998, and Syria in 2015. With what is going on in Ukraine they were inspired to start a campaign to pay it forward and do some thing for the children and families of Ukraine! They are selling baked goods and snacks during Timber/Homeroom in order to raise money to contribute to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund! I’m so proud of their hard work, empathy, and kindness!
