El magisterio puertorriqueño está tomando acciones para reclamar el retiro digno que merecen y por el que ya han trabajado.

***Actualización agosto 2022***: El FADEP continúa la lucha legal en defensa de un retiro digno. Han presentado un certiorari solicitando se revoque lo concerniente a las pensiones futuras manteniéndose bajo beneficios definidos, al 75% del salario del docente una vez se jubile. Para ello, necesitan de tu solidaridad y apoyo, contribuyendo a esta cuenta de GoFundMe que permitirá cubrir los gastos legales para el litigio. Necesitan fondos para los gastos de la defensa legal en el pleito que radicaron en el Circuito de Apelaciones de Boston en contra de la implementación del Plan de Ajuste de la Deuda de la junta de control fiscal.

 

Si se aprueba el plan de ajuste congelará y recortarán las pensiones del magisterio y hará que la clase trabajadora pague la deuda que crearon los buitres de Wall Street.

 

Todos los fondos recaudados se transferirán directamente al FADEP (Frente Amplio en Defensa de la Educación Pública) que está compuesto por la Federación de Maestros de Puerto Rico, UNETE y EDUCAMOS para aportar en los gastos legales y actividades de militancia en la calle necesarios.

Public school educators in Puerto Rico are taking action to demand the dignified retirement that they deserve and have already worked for.

 

Puerto Rican Educators need funds for legal fees in their lawsuit against the Fiscal Control Board's adjustment plan that they filed in the Boston Circuit of Appeals. If passed, the adjustment plan will freeze educators' pensions and make working-class people pay for the debt that Wall Street vultures created.

 

All funds raised will be transferred directly to the FADEP. This coalition is made up of la Federación de Maestros de Puerto Rico, UNETE and EDUCAMOS. All funds will pay legal fees and costs associated with their struggle in the streets.
