Help Heal Juan Wilson Jr.

Donation protected
Juan Wilson Jr., a senior at Warren High School, was in a terrible car accident on March 5th that resulted in severe head and spinal cord injuries. Juan has been fighting every day since the accident with his family by his side. He has been in intensive care with a Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI), a form of traumatic brain injury, and although he is showing progress, there is a very long road ahead.

Since the accident, Juan’s family has been encouraging Juan daily and helping with exercises to keep him limber, which is crucial due to increased muscle tone. It is critical that Juan’s father, Juan Wilson Sr, can be by his side to ensure that (1) he hears all of the information anytime a doctor has an update, (2) there is a consistency of care over the next several months, and (3) most importantly, that he is there when Juan fully wakes up.

I hope you will join our Bear family in this fundraiser with all funds going directly to the Wilson family so that Mr. Wilson can take a 3 to 4-month leave from work and focus on Juan’s recovery full time. The leave is unpaid, so the money raised will be used to supplement his lost income and pay for the medical benefits to avoid a break in services.

We are so grateful for any financial donation and equally grateful for continued and ongoing prayers. Please pray for Juan’s healing and recovery. Please pray for comfort, strength, and support for Omari (14-year-old brother and WHS freshman), Imani  (22-year-old sister) and his loving parents, Juan Sr. and Lauren. Please pray for the doctors and nurses who are caring for Juan. Please pray for the Connish family who lost their beautiful son Jaylon in the accident. Finally, please pray for the continued healing of Dajon Hancox, the third of the three best friends in the accident.

Juan was recently moved from St. Francis hospital to Kaiser South Bay ICU because of the spinal cord and brain injuries. When he is able to show “purposeful responses,” he will be transferred to an acute care facility and eventually onto Rancho Los Amigos for rehabilitation. We will continue to post updates and share Juan’s progress through this GoFundMe page. Please continue to check back and please share this page on your social media, through email, and/or text messages. Thank you for joining our community to help Heal Juan Wilson Jr! #HealJuanWilsonJr
