Lacey Ashley Rose 20yrs old and so full of life. Lacey has been a type 1 diabetic since the age of 5yrs old, 3mo after her diagnosis she took the syringe out of her Grandma's hand and said " let me do it grandma" and from that moment on Lacey administered her in shots and started to learn how to take care of her disease as well as herself. This in itself is a sure sign as to the kind of strength she has. Her drive for life is amazing, she loves to hike, enjoys nature, she has a true love for animals of all kinds. Her goal is to begin college to become a Veterinarian Technician. Family is an important part of her life. She had always just accepted life on life's terms. There is nothing she has ever faced in life that has stopped her from going forward with her life. Lacey is a beautiful and loving trusted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and loyal friend, everyone who meets her falls in love with the beauty of her free spirit, fun loving and admirable personality. Now with all this being said, On Sept 20,2017 Lacey was in a horrific car accident that has left her on life support. She has sustained some major brain damage from 3 cranial fractures, broken facial bones that will need reconstructive surgery, a broken collar bone, broken sternum from the CPR that she needed while coding, the lack of oxygen to her brain a substantially length of time. Her ribs are broken her pelvis is broken and her wrist and leg is broken. The breaks in her leg are from 4-7 breaks and 4 of them are severed in half. Her therapy and surgeries that are needed will be ongoing and long term. Her family is in desperate need for help. Expenses consist of relocating the family to be closer to the hospital, and normal living for her parents and siblings. Travel expenses, medical bills. Lacey is such a fighter and is showing signs that she will pull through this. We thank you for all your love and support.
