Hudson Abbott "TEAM CANADA"

Hudson W. L. Abbott   -   Age: 9 - Hometown: Oakville, Ontario Canada

I was recently named to represent TEAM CANADA at the World Dance Championships in Prague, Czech Republic this September.   The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a World Dance and Dance-Sport Federation with a membership of over 90 Nations, representing more then 250,000 dancers, from six continents.  The best dancers from around the World will be competing for the World Championship Title!

My dance journey began at age 3 whereas I took the stage for my first competition.  Now 9, I have grown and expanded my love for dance through hard work, determination and exposure from the many choreographers I have worked with over the years.

Unfortunately Dance is not a recognized sporting event in Canada (which I am looking to change – TBC), even though many of us train 7 days a week (23+ hours) and dedicate ourselves as any Olympic Athlete would.  We are required to raise $5,000 to cover all Travel (air & ground), rehearsal, coaches, Team Canada jackets, hotels and Canadian and International entry fees. I appreciate any funding support through my “GO FUND ME” page 100% goes to Athlete.  Every penny (well Nickel) helps.  I will also be working hard on “Bottle Collection” in the neighborhood, “Car Washes” with my Team Canada friends, “Garage Sale”, etc…


This year was an exceptional year for me and being invited to represent CANADA is simply an honor.   Thank you for your consideration.

·       1st Overall

·       Judges choice Award

·       Adjudicator Award - Technical Excellence

·       Highest Category Mark of the Weekend  

MOVE Dance Competition

·       1st Place overall - Double Platinum

·       Judges Award "The Most Potential"   

Conventions:

·       Scholarship Winner - Jump Toronto.  

·       Break Out Artist recipient - Nuvo Toronto

·       Mini Male Jump VIP - JUMP Buffalo

·       VIP Runner up - JUMP Buffalo


OTHER Accomplishments this Year: 

·       I was honored to play the Lead Role in a Music Video by Jade Eagleson on his debut track “Got Your Name On It”   (YOUTUBE – Got Your Name O It – Jade Eagleson).  Jade is one of the recently signed Artists to Universal Music.  It was an amazing experience for me that I will never forget. 

·       I also had an opportunity to play the son of the lead role Father in “Fear Thy Neighbor” a US Network show in its 7th season,

·       Actor on an upcoming Universal Kids TV Show this Summer

 
This year has certainly been an amazing year for me personally and the Invitation to join TEAM CANADA was simply the best.  You should be able to stream the competition and updates will be posted on my social media.
