Hueys Cancer Journey

Last week our whole family’s life was turned upside down.

After going to hospital with pain in his hip our beautiful nephew Huey was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer at only 4 years old.

The cancer was originally in his kidney which had already spread to his lymph nodes and his bones. Neuroblastoma is a rare type of cancer & makes up of 6% of all childhood cancer.

Huey has been moved to Southampton hospital where he is undergoing treatment and starting chemotherapy on Thursday.

With the distance away from home and 5 other children at home this is incredibly hard for Ben & Rachel.

Huey is such a strong little boy with no fear & is taking everything in his stride

We would like to try to keep the other children’s lives as normal as we can but as you can imagine this is tough with a worrying about their brother and their mum away in Southampton.

This go fund me has been set up to help the family. Rachel is unable to work & Ben is making daily trips to the hospital over 30 miles away. It’s the summer holidays and they have 5 other children, we’re all helping as much as we can but we’d like to be able to book some days out for them/keep them busy to take their mind off of everything going on. This will also help with providing Huey with everything he needs whilst in hospital and helping to pay for petrol & food.

Hopefully we can take at least one worry away at this awful time.
