Jermaine Huggin's Memorial

We have suffered a loss close to home for one of our staff members at St Catharines. Mike Huggan, a dedicated hard working man received terrible news the other night that his eldest son had passed away while visiting his brother in British Colombia. The Huggan family has been very close with all of the staff here for the past two years with his partner and his kids often coming in to eat and spend time visiting. Mike himself has always been an amazing man and great employee. Always calm and dedicated to the job, keeping it together on the roughest nights to joke and cheer up any staff that needed it. He is the kind of guy that would help out any of us if asked and often offered, just to help take some of the load. There is a deep pain for all of us here as we feel for his loss. Our team has started a collection to help Mike out as he has taken some time to be home with his other children and sort out the affairs including the funeral and transporting his son back home. We would ask anyone that is willing and able to help contribute as this will be a tough time for the family and we want to make sure that one of the FIF family is helped to ease the pain of something no parent should ever experience. We are hoping to help eliviate the costs required to fly his son home and the funeral on top of many other expensis that arise in their time of need.
