Celebrating the life of Hugh Robert Goerke

It is with deep sadness that we share our sweet Hugh Robert Goerke, the cherished son of Paul and Calle Goerke, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2023. Huey, a brave soul who faced a battle with Tay Sachs disease, had the most beautiful spirit which remains etched in our hearts.

Huey was a remarkable, quirky, and beautiful boy who endured a journey in a body that faced immense challenges. Despite the difficulties, he fought tenaciously to be with his family, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew and loved him. His resilience and strength transformed those around him. As he finds peace, rest, and relief, those left behind grapple with the profound void his absence has created.

Navigating life without Huey is an unimaginable challenge, and words cannot adequately convey the depth of our grief. Yet, even in our sorrow, we feel his presence, and we will forever cherish the impact he had on our lives.

In honor of Hugh's memory, we kindly ask for your support in commemorating his life.
