Hugh Russell Memorial Golf outing

Hello,

This past October saw the passing of Hugh Russell. An immensely well known figure in the Irish boxing community, with accolades including a bronze Commonwealth medal, bronze Olympic medal & becoming a two weight British champion winning him a Lonsdale belt outright.

Hugh went on to become an award winning photographer and proudly worked for the Irish News for 40 years.

His biggest achievement in his own words were his family; his wife Kathy and children Hugh Jnr, Hayley, Megan, James & Calum.

We have decided to honor his memory with the first annual 'Hugh Russell Memorial Golf Outing' at Fortwilliam Golf Club on Friday 23rd August 2024.

All proceeds will be going towards MacMillan Cancer Support. We have set up this GoFundMe for anyone who wishes to make an additional donation - any donations would much appreciated!
