Hughes Amendment Legal Challenge

This fund is to support my legal challenge to the federal machinegun ban, also known as the Hughes Amendment.

On January 4, 2023, I initiated a lawsuit against the Attorney General of the United States and the Director of the BATFE challenging the constitutionality of the Hughes Amendment.

The case is DeWilde v. Attorney General.

All donations received here will be utilized for the following purposes in this order:

1) Court fees and costs related to this lawsuit.

2) Costs related to legal/attorney assistance.

3) Regardless of the outcome of this case, remaining funds will be donated to Second Amendment organizations that support or assist this case.

I am currently pursuing this challenge pro se. If I am able to locate an attorney willing to represent this case pro bono, or if this fundraiser raises enough funding to hire a suitable attorney, I will make an update here.

I have maintained, and will continue to maintain, a full accounting of the costs associated with this case as well as disbursements from this fund. At the conclusion of this case, I will provide a copy of this accounting to any donor who requests it.
