Hughes Family Mission Trip

We are the Hughes family.  My wife Jaci and I have been married for 15 years and have three children: Noah, age 14; Reagan, age 9; and Jackson, age 8.

In 2008, my wife and I took our son Noah with us to Guatemala.  My wife's sister Lauren serves as a missionary there working in poor villages in the mountains of Guatemala.  The following year we returned with a church trip and brought all 3 kids.  It's been 6 years since the family has returned, and our hope is that we would be able to bring the gang back to Guatemala this summer to spend some time working in the school there.

My wife and I have a tremendous heart for the work being done in Guatemala, but we don't have the financial resources to go.

That's where you come in.  We're asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in donating toward our 2015 summer mission trip.  During this trip we will be working with Lauren and the staff of her school for a period of a week or so in early July.

We will need to purchase airfare and get some updated passports for the family in order to make this journey.  Thankfully, we will be able to stay with Lauren while we are in Guatemala, so we will only need a little additional money for food and incidentals.  

Bringing the kids on a mission trip really opened their eyes to how people live in other countries.  Our daughter, Reagan, who will turn 10 in June, actually used her 6th birthday party to donate money to kids in Guatemala so that they could attend school there.

It's our hope to be an encouragement to Lauren and her co-laborers in Christ as we serve in Guatemala this summer.
