Help Eric!

Hi Folks ! I'm Mark Jensen, 4th grade school teacher, here to help out a fellow surfer who almost lost his life in a shark attack in Bodega Bay, CA. this past Sunday, October 3rd. My bro Eric Steinley is laid up in ICU at Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa with severe damage from a bite wound to the thigh. He is lucky to be alive, and after a number of surgeries, he's going to have a long road to recovery. Numerous surfers on the beach rallied to stabilize him to get him to safety and the paramedics before being airlifted. I'm hoping you can rally to help one of the nicest guys I know overcome some huge challenges.

Though there are many unknowns with the extent of his injuries, timelines and prognosis, one thing is for sure: Eric will face huge costs associated with this experience. After co-pays and out-of-pocket medical expenses, a full and rapid recovery will necessitate substantial outlays for required therapies, pain relief, nutrition and more. All this without any work income.

Please do what you can to help Eric get back to a normal, active lifestyle, so he can continue spreading good vibes, building houses and being a solid community member. Perhaps in 6 months or next year, he'll be back riding waves at his favorite break with his humble curiosity and big smile.
