Humane Rights in Government Facilities
Hello, my name is Brandy Fisher and I am fund raising on behalf of Jordan Ironstand and other inmates who are currently incarcerated at the Regina Provential Correctional Center and the Saskatoon Correctional Center. Jordan Ironstand was recently attacked on June 30th, at the Saskatoon correctional, he suffered 17 wounds in his rib cage, arm and temple. He was then taken to a local hospital where he was treated then very shortly released on July 4th. Since his release he has not received the proper treatment for his condition nor his mentality. It is no secret that many Government facilities are a little unfair to the inmates who are locked up. As their freedom may have been taken away due to their decisions in the past, that does not take away their human rights. Every single person/soul that is in there has someone on the outside that loves and cares for them, no matter the circumstance. No one should be treated unfairly by any means and judgment should not be placed. Both Saskatoon and Regina Correctionals are going under a Hunger Strike, Friday July 9th to ensure their Humane Rights are met at the very least and for fair treatment on the inside of both facilities. The money that we are funding for will be going towards T-shirts and signs that will be made to bring awareness of what is truly happening to our brothers on the inside, in support of Humane Rights in Government Facilities, to help support families with gas money to make it back and fourth to Saskatoon and Regina in support of the peaceful protests and to stand up fight for the ones who have lost their voices. I am calling on anyone who has a Brother, a Father, a Uncle, a Cousin or Grand Father that is currently incarcerated in one of these facilities to come out help support and possibly donate. Any amount would greatly and highly appreciated I'd also like to thank - you for taking the time out your day to help and support. We truly appreciate it.
